The Notes Music Site provides general information about Notes Music services, products and activities.

The Notes Music Site contains a variety of Content for general educational and informative purposes only. The Content on the Notes Music Site is generic and does not take into account any personal circumstances.

In addition, the Notes Music Site may contain or make available data sheets, mail out or newsletter services, service provider details, or other tools and facilities which may be of use to you. Whilst Notes Music has taken reasonable effort to provide such features that are accurate and free from defect, Notes Music does not warrant the accuracy, correctness or completeness of these features, which are provided on an "as is" basis.

Any products and services offered on the Notes Music Site and all prices displayed are subject to change without notice.

 

Purchasing of tuition

 

Tuition fees are to be paid in advance at the beginning of each term.


Lessons are given on a weekly basis. If the student misses a lesson without 24 hours’ notice, payment for

that lessons will be forfeited.

If the student misses a lesson and appropriate notice is given, Notes Music will reschedule the lesson providing the student is able to attend at one of the times offered within 2 weeks of the missed lesson.

All prices quoted on the Notes Music Site are inclusive of the Australian Government Goods and Services Tax (GST) and all monetary amounts are in Australian Dollars, unless otherwise indicated.

The Victorian Music Teachers’ Association (V.M.T.A.) reviews its fee structure in May each year and its recommendations are implemented in the music-teaching industry the following year. Please note that the Notes Music  fees will reflect recommendations made by the V.M.T.A., Notes Music giving the student at least one month’s notice of any increase in fees.

The student is to give Notes Music at least four weeks’ notice of his/her intention to discontinue lessons.

 

Errors in transmission

Notes Music is not responsible for any interruption to or failure in any communication or process, howsoever caused.

 

Refund Policy

Where a student, after accepting an offer of a place, gives a minimum of four weeks written notice before the commencement of the semester of an inability to undertake the course, all tuition fees paid are refundable less an administrative fee of 15%

Where a student gives less than four weeks written notice before the commencement of the term of an inability to undertake the course, all tuition fees paid are refundable less 50% (including an administrative fee of 15%) provided that the reasons for withdrawing are acceptable to Notes Music. 

Where a student withdraws from tuition within the first four teaching weeks of a term, all tuition fees paid are refundable less 50% (including an administrative fee of 15%.)

Grounds for Refunds; A notice of withdrawal due to exceptional circumstances may be accepted as grounds for either a total or partial refund of fees. 

No Refunds; A student who withdraws from tuition, for whatever reason, after four teaching weeks shall not be eligible for a refund in any circumstance.

 

Warranties

While we have taken care to provide Content that is free from error, Notes Music does not guarantee or warrant the accuracy, adequacy or completeness of Content on the Notes Music Site. All Content is provided on an "as is" basis and without guarantees or warranties of any kind, either express or implied. All terms implied by law, except those that can not be lawfully excluded, are excluded. All Content is subject to change without notice. Notes Music does not warrant that this Notes Music Site or any linked websites will be free from viruses or defects.

 

Limitation of Liability

Subject to any responsibilities implied by law and which cannot be excluded, Notes Music, and its directors, employees, agents, volunteers and contractors, are not liable to you for any losses, damages, liabilities, claims and expenses (including but not limited to legal costs and defence or settlement costs) whatsoever, whether direct, indirect or consequential, arising out of or referable to any Content on this Notes Music Site, to any material on linked websites, or to access or use of the Notes Music Site by you, howsoever caused, whether in contract, tort including negligence, statute or otherwise.

Liability of Notes Music for breach of a condition or warranty implied by law, and which cannot be excluded, is limited to the extent possible at Notes Music's option, to the supply of the goods or services again, the repair of the goods, or the payment of the cost of having the goods or services supplied again or repaired.

 

Indemnity

You indemnify Notes Music in respect of any liability incurred by Notes Music for any loss or damage, howsoever caused, which is suffered by Notes Music as a result of your breach of these Website Terms of Use or your use of the Notes Music Site.
